Outreach and Education

“In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught.” Baba Dioum, 1968”

One of my mission as a person is also to bring awareness to plastic pollution through passion for nature! When it comes to conservation, knowledge is power and educating the younger generations is the key!

Through different educative activities and beach cleanups I have highly engaged with the local community from going into high school classes and make a presentation to going at the beach and do beach cleanups while giving explanations on the source and fate of marine debris.

Here, I am showing a poster describing our education station at Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii  and discussing the benefits of teaching to younger generations.

This poster was presented at the 6th International Marine Debris Conference during March 2018 in San Diego.
